Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberry hauled, cut into slices
  • 1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

Instructions

  • Place strawberries in small saucepan on medium to low heat. As the strawberries begin to soften add honey. Start with 1 tbsp of honey. Add more honey depending on sweet preference.
  • Stir strawberries. Use a fork or potato masher to break pieces up (if you like your jam chunky leave more pieces whole).
  • Once strawberries are completely softened, add chia seeds, and stir. Remove from heat and let jam cool down. This allows for jam to get a gelatinous texture.
  • Enjoy on toast, crackers, or anything you like!
  • Note: Refrigerate any jam that is not eaten. There are no preservatives and has not undergone traditional canning process, so jam needs to be refrigerated to keep fresh.
