Homemade Strawberry Jam
The easiest 3 ingredient strawberry jam. This is a great alternative to traditional store-bought jam.
Prep Time 5 minutes mins
Total Time 20 minutes mins
- 2 cups strawberry hauled, cut into slices
- 1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
Place strawberries in small saucepan on medium to low heat. As the strawberries begin to soften add honey. Start with 1 tbsp of honey. Add more honey depending on sweet preference.
Stir strawberries. Use a fork or potato masher to break pieces up (if you like your jam chunky leave more pieces whole).
Once strawberries are completely softened, add chia seeds, and stir. Remove from heat and let jam cool down. This allows for jam to get a gelatinous texture.
Enjoy on toast, crackers, or anything you like!
Note: Refrigerate any jam that is not eaten. There are no preservatives and has not undergone traditional canning process, so jam needs to be refrigerated to keep fresh.
