Bunless Turkey Burger

- 1- 1.2 lb ground turkey
- 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 diced shallot
- 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Cooking oil
Combine ground turkey, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, shallot, and breadcrumbs. Gently stir until well combined. Be sure not to over stir because burger patties can become tough after cooking.
Divide ground turkey mixture into 4-5 equal parts. Shape into ball with hands and press to round shape (about ½ inch thick).
Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Add burger patties to hot pan. Cook on each side until turns brown and turkey is cooked through (you can use a food thermometer inserted into the middle – should read 165 degrees F).
Assemble burgers on lettuce. Add toppings of choice. Serve warm.
