Egg Roll Bowl

Egg roll in a bowl is a one-pan dinner made in 30 minutes and packed with flavor. It is made with ground pork, cabbage, and carrots. It tastes just like an egg roll, but without the eggroll wrapper.

One of my favorite foods hands down is the traditional egg roll. This egg roll bowl is the simplified version of the egg roll without the wrapper. It’s the perfect quick dinner option. This dish is low in carbs and full of flavor.

  • Ground pork
  • Garlic
  • Cabbage
  • Carrot
  • Oyster sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Black pepper
  • Green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

What kind of meat to use?

Traditionally egg rolls are made with ground pork, but you can use ground turkey or ground chicken.

What to eat with an egg roll bowl?

You can add rice or noodles, but it’s delicious by itself!

Ingredients
  

  • 1-2 tsp oil for cooking
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1.5 lb ground pork
  • 1 ½ cup shredded carrot
  • 3 cup shredded cabbage
  • 3 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • green onion sliced for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet or wok, add oil to pan and add garlic. Sitr for about 1 minute.
  • Add pork. Brown pork until no longer pink about 8-10 minutes and drain excessive oil.
  • Add cabbage and carrots to ground pork. Sauteed until desired tenderness and veggies are slightly wilted.
  • Add oyster sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Sitr well.
  • Cook until ground pork is done. Place ground pork in bowl and top with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve and enjoy!
