Bunless Turkey Burger
Juicy turkey burger without the bun. The perfect lean alternative for lunch or dinner.
I love a good burger. This easy turkey burger recipe is juicy and tender. The trick in my recipe that makes these burgers so good is the panko breadcrumbs and shallot.
I like to top these burgers with a mango cucumber salsa and replace the bun with lettuce for a lower carb meal. This burger is great on a bun also!
These burgers can also be cooked on the stove or the grill.

Ingredients
- 1- 1.2 lb ground turkey
- 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 diced shallot
- 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Cooking oil
Instructions
- Combine ground turkey, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, shallot, and breadcrumbs. Gently stir until well combined. Be sure not to over stir because burger patties can become tough after cooking.
- Divide ground turkey mixture into 4-5 equal parts. Shape into ball with hands and press to round shape (about ½ inch thick).
- Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Add burger patties to hot pan. Cook on each side until turns brown and turkey is cooked through (you can use a food thermometer inserted into the middle – should read 165 degrees F).
- Assemble burgers on lettuce. Add toppings of choice. Serve warm.
