Honey Lemon Garlic Air Fried Wings
These air fried honey lemon garlic wings are the perfect combination of sweet and tangy. The sauce is so good it will have you licking your fingers.
I love using my air fryer. I bought it one year during Black Friday. I love it because almost everything you put in the air fryer comes out nice and crispy on the outside. I have cooked chicken breast, tofu, veggies, and countless number of French fries in my air fryer. The air fryer makes these wings amazingly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
Tips on using an Air Fryer:
- Don’t overcrowd your wings. Overcrowding wings decreases the crispiness of the wings.
Honey Lemon Garlic Air Fried Wings
These air fried honey lemon garlic wings are the perfect combination of sweet and tangy. The sauce is so good it will have you licking your fingers.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings (about 16 drumettes and wingettes)
- Salt
- Pepper
Garlic Lemon Honey Sauce
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves peeled and finely minced
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Pre-heat air fryer to 375 degrees.
- Season chicken wings lightly with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Transfer wings to air fryer making sure wings are not touching and there is adequate space for air flow.
- Cook for 12 minutes then flip the wings with tongs and cook for another 12 minutes.
- Increase the heat to 400 degrees F and cook for 6 more minutes.
Sauce
- While the wings are air frying, heat butter and garlic over low heat in saucepan until garlic is slightly tendered, but not brown.
- Stir in honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Cook until slightly thickens.
- Set sauce aside and keep warm.
To Finish
- When wings are crispy and done cooking, toss in warm honey garlic sauce. Add thinly sliced green onions for garnish or lemon slices. Enjoy immediately while hot.
