Hummus is a Middle Eastern dish that is usually made from chickpeas, tahini, and lemon. Hummus is a type of dip or spread.

You can top your homemade hummus with:

  • Olive oil
  • Smoked paprika
  • Cumin

Easy Hummus

Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 2 tbsp cold water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 2 garlic cloves smashed or minced
  • 1 lemon juiced about 2-3 tbsp
  • 1 can 15 ounce chickpeas, rinse, drained

Instructions
 

  • Add tahini, 2 tbsp water, oil, salt, garlic, and lemon juice in food processor. Puree until smooth.
  • Add chickpeas. Puree 3-4 minutes until smooth, scrape down sides of food processor. Add more water as needed (2 tbsp) if you prefer a thinner consistency.
  • Pair hummus with your favorite vegetable, chip, or cracker.
